Google recently updated Meet with better tiled view support - see:
https://cloud.google.com/blog/products/productivity-collaboration/introducing-tiled-view-and-other-top-requested-features-in-google-meet

Does this extension offer any advantages over the new default behaviour?

More than 16 screens is the obvious answer...

also including yourself in the grid, showing video-less participants

@sreyemnayr I'm currently on a call with 20 screens, not using this extension. Perhaps Google increased the limit recently? Sorry, I can't count - it's only 15!

@edg2s I can see callers who are phoning in (shows a phone handset icon in the grid layout). Everyone else has video on, so can't comment on Meet clients with video switched off.
