Dear Foldseek Development Team,
Hello, Thank you for making such a great tool.

I am Sora Yonezawa, and I work part-time creating tutorial videos for TogoTV (https://togotv.dbcls.jp/en/), a platform that offers a collection of tutorial videos for biological databases and bioinformatic tools, primarily in Japanese, with some available in English.
I am reaching out to introduce Foldseek (Search Server) to the life sciences community in Japan through a tutorial video.

Before proceeding with the tutorial video creation, I would like to ask if there are:

  • Any specific features or aspects you would like us to highlight
  • Key information from the analysis results that should be emphasized

The current plan is to create the tutorial video in roughly the following three steps:

  1. Introduction to Foldseek Search Server and how to run it
  2. How to access Foldseek Search Server through the UniProt web page
  3. How to view information such as AFDB50 also from AlphaFold DB

Your feedback would be invaluable in creating a comprehensive and informative tutorial.
Thank you for your time and consideration.

Best regards,
Sora Yonezawa

Hi Sora,

This is fantastic—thank you so much! Your outline looks good to me. Would you like to meet and chat about it? If so, feel free to email me.

I once created a tutorial for Foldseek here: YouTube Link. It might give you some ideas on what to highlight. That said, we’ve implemented several exciting new tools since then, like Foldseek-multimer and FoldMason, which I’d love to showcase.

Best regards,
Martin
