Debugging errors

Description

What steps will reproduce the problem?

Pushing the Debuge file button (or CTRL+F5) results in a strange behaviour that empty lines are "evaluated", does not jump to the next line with code.
There is no Stop button shown among the buttons of the debugging panel (by the way SHIFT+CTRL+F12 does not work), I have to go to Debug menu and click on Stop debugging.
I had trouble with iPython so I updated it and Spyder and Anaconda as well. yesterday I updated Spyder and I have troubles using it since.

Hey @josesan77, thanks for reporting. Most (if not all) of the errors you reported are already fixed in our latest version (6.0.3).

Since it's still not available in Anaconda, you have two options:

1. Use our Windows installer, which you can find here.

2. Create a new environment with Conda-forge packages. For that, please close Spyder, open the Anaconda Prompt and run the following commands there:

    conda create -n spyder-env -c conda-forge python=3.11 spyder
    conda activate spyder-env
    spyder
   

If you need to use more packages than just Spyder, you have to:

1. Follow our documentation about that in case you're using our installer.

2. If you followed the Conda-forge path, you need to close Spyder, open the Anaconda Prompt and run

    conda activate spyder-env
    conda install scikit-learn
   

   in case you need to work with Scikit-Learn, or do the same for the packages you need to install.
