Hi! πŸ‘‹

My name is Reinaldy Rafli. I love open-source technologies & communities, and I've been actively contributing since 2019. I tinkered with software since I was 12 years old (a 6th grader). Now I work as a software engineer (that usually helps out devops stuff) for a finance company in Jakarta, Indonesia. I learned computer things without attending any formal education, through my efforts, I wish to give back every of my knowledge to the public.

Most of the time, I create libraries and plugins that are MIT Licensed, whether it be for Node.js, Go, or Julia. My favorites are:

  • bob - SQL query builder for Go
  • vite-plugin-pages-svelte - Vite plugin for filesystem-based routing
  • Nanoid.jl - Nanoid implementation for Julia
  • flourite - Regex-based library to detect programming language from a given output in Node.js
  • sql-dsl - SQL as template literal for Node.js
  • node-vault - Hashicorp Vault SDK for Node.js that mimics the behavior of the official Go SDK.

Other than that, I also create sample applications for people to learn something, a few examples are:

  • fuzzy-octo-potato - Sample semi-microservice application to learn how to use Grafana & Prometheus to gather metrics from various resources
  • traefik-microservice-docker - Another semi-microservice to demonstrate how does Traefik do their automatic service discovery
  • transaction-watcher - Another microservice-like set of applications that are meant to make people learn about Kafka/Redpanda with a banking-related task.

I am now working on a few open-source application projects alongside my friends from Teknologi Umum. A few of them are:

  • pesto - Remote code execution engine. Send your code via HTTP request, we'll execute it, and return the output. For free!
  • roselite - Active relay for Uptime Kuma's push monitor type.
  • graphene - Alternative to Carbon and ray.so to make beautiful screenshot of their code.
  • gitgram - Telegram bot that receives and processes GitHub's webhook notification.
  • Kodiiing - A Freecodecamp-like website to enable people to code. Again, for free!

All funds from the Github sponsorship program would be allocated to make the sites better (by purchasing better instances) because I would love to help more people start their journey in programming, and I love seeing new faces on the open source community! πŸ€—

@aldy505

I'll be able to purchase better instances for most of the crucial open source applications that I develop alongside my friends.
