EmberGL is currently in the early stages of solo-development by myself as a spare time project. I have a long history of developing computer graphics, starting in very young age over 40 years ago on ZX Spectrum, and later professionally in many AAA game productions. I got interested in Arduino and microcontroller development years ago as a hobby and have wanted to push this very constrained platform beyond what has been done before - very much in the spirit of demoscene productions in the early 90's.

This passion of mine has brought me to work on EmberGL to deliver 2D/3D graphics library and utilize the experience I have acquired over the years in both graphics and C++ software development. EmberGL features a tile-based software rasterizer able to operate in tight memory budget, which makes it a good fit for microcontrollers with limited RAM resource. Yet the rasterizer utilizes modern rendering techniques to attain high performance and gives a lot of flexibility for users to customize the rendering pipeline similarly to modern graphics APIs. While the primary target has been microcontrollers, EmberGL code is platform agnostic and can be also used for project on other platforms such as PC, Mac, mobile devices or game consoles, with permissive open source license (MIT).

I hope to be able to continue working on EmberGL and help users to deliver amazing graphics applications in different shape and form.
