So here's the log. I read it and the only thing that makes sense is the line "X11 can't keep up (...)".
The video freezes at random points without any errors or warnings, it just does, again - AS IF you have pressed "pause" but you actually haven't. The only thing that helps is to actually, physically press "Pause" and then again to resume playback. And then, if you rewind 5-10 seconds to go back to the point where the video froze, it won't freeze again.
The only thing I can say for sure is that this doesn't happen with smplayer 22.7.0, so I'm dowgrading to it now.

I managed to watch a whole movie without any freezes with this: SMPlayer-24.5.0.10345-x86_64.AppImage. It seems that the maintainers in Arch repo have abandoned the smplayer package (nearly a year without updates, it must be abandoned), so if you could refresh the source code with the relevan dependencies of this release, so I can build it? The source code is of Dec 22, 2024 whereas the latest build is of Jan 3, 2025 which means I can't use the current source code.
Describe the bug

To Reproduce
