We "parallelize" image processing here, but AFAICT this will still run in a single process as JS itself is single treaded. We could use https://github.com/josdejong/workerpool to increase performance (should be measured).

Seems not necessary, as sharp does its own multi-threading internally. See lovell/sharp#1297 (comment)
