Automatically save transmitted files

On the various platforms it would be great to automatically save transmitted files.

For every application there should be a selectable default folder where all files are save.

Actual Result:

Files do not get saved automatically.

Expected Result:

Files should be saved automatically. There should be an option to enable this feature. It would be great (due to privacy reasons) not to enable this by default.

Hi, this as optional feature would be super an useful enhancement for us. My sister sends a lot of photos of her kids and I have always to help my parents backing up the pictures, so that they are permanently available to them. Just opening the desktop app form time to time would be enough to crate a media backup of the family group chat.
