First LOVE SIGNAL, really, won't leave home without it!
Running "today's" version of Signal on W7 Pro, 64Bit, and even tho I zoom in I only get one LINE to look at to TYPE in, but I see 20 to 30 lines of what I don't need to see on older menages.
And no I don't need to delete the old messages to fix the problem, what is needed is a way for users to be able to adjust or ENLARGE the text box we type in to have of the message screen..
When I zoom in enough to SEE the words I've typed, there leave only ONE Line of Text showing, so I don't really get to see what I typed before.
And when you get to 70 like I am, you will be very happy to SEE as Much as you can see, Really!
Suggestion 6 to 10 Lines would be great, but 15 to 20 Lines would be excellent.
And please, please, please... STOP the text from posting when we hit "ENTER." Please!
That one is just pain-full!
Got to copy the posted text. and than delete the posted text,, and than paste the text back into the text box, and begin back at before where the "ENTER" posted the text. PHEW! Nap time!
Again thank you ALL at Signal for your excellent apps (using Android also which doesn't post when we hit "Enter" to start another line. Hoorah!)

Enlarge the message composition text box on zoom
Oct 24, 2018
In Desktop v5.0.0 you can now expand the text input box, which will show you more lines and be scaled up when zooming in. I suggest this can be closed.
You can expand the composer to achieve most of what you're describing, I think. Hovering over the input box brings up a small chevron icon, which you can click. Ctrl-Shift-X (Cmd-Shift-X on macOS) is a shortcut for this.
