Thank you for your suggestion! Sounds like an interesting idea and the implementation seems simple enough (at least right now). I opened a PR #590 implementing devcontainer support for this repository. Feel free to leave any comments / suggestions.

I am not sure, if the devcontainer should be also added to the create-ima-app. It is an optional addition to the project and some projects might not be interested in this while those who are interested can easily add these few lines of code to their repository. Maybe we could support some sort of optional features that can be added to create-ima-app. I am imagining some checkboxes with optional features and user can select what he/she wants. What does @mjancarik think?
