CBM was absolutely talented in bricking installs by not caring about the volume free space prior to syncing to the ESP.

  • Ensure free space before mutating sources.
  • Early-nuke of unreferenced boot environments before starting work, to remove anything CBM left behind...
  • GC /usr/lib/kernel policy for non-atomic distros (ie not Serpent/Solus 5)
