Draft: waiting for the user's paper IB Gateway sign-in. This is preparation only. No Gateway was started, no IB connection was made and no order was placed. The ibkr-local-acceptance gate stays not_established and no ibkr-acceptance/receipt.json exists. The IBKR paper account needs a human second-factor sign-in, which automation cannot do.

What

This PR prepares acceptance-plan section 5, steps 2 to 4, for the ibkr-local-acceptance gate (catalogs/us-equities/gates-20260922.json). It currently blocks the live rung together with leverage-ladder-1x/2x/4x and live-go.

  • Version-selection decision record (docs/decisions/2026-09-25-ibkr-local-acceptance-version-selection.md, keep-but-compare). It implements the user's decision of 2026-09-25, quoted verbatim in the record as relayed by the live-gates coordinator: "NautilusTrader 1.231.0 + ibapi 10.45.1 for local acceptance, keep-but-compare against the first 2.0.x release containing nautilus_trader PR #5041". Local acceptance runs on NautilusTrader 1.231.0's Python IB adapter (official ibapi 10.45.1). The engine destination in runtime-target.json is unchanged, no gate flips, and live-go is untouched.
    • The comparator is the first 2.0.x release (not a dev wheel) containing nautilus_trader#5041; no release contains it yet. It runs the same frozen case set, and 1.231.0 is overturned at once if it fails a case that release passes.
    • The pinned 2.0.0rc5 Rust adapter is not an overturn arm. An rc5 stock-order probe stays only as optional evidence for the #4983 reclassification. Any other trigger needs a new user decision.
  • Runner blueprints/us-equities/engine-nautilus/ibkr-acceptance/local_acceptance.py. It runs three fresh-process TradingNode phases on client id 93, with an official-ibapi observer on client 98. Cases:
    • A1: resting R1 accepted.
    • A2: client-id ownership. A contender on 93 gets IB 326, and orderRef, orderId and permId map to the node's order.
    • A3: reconnect with R1 working, ending in an IB-confirmed cancel.
    • A4: R2 left working.
    • B1: restart reconciliation adopts R2 through external_order_claims.
    • B2: kill switch. A durable 0600 latch is written, the risk engine goes HALTED, an alert is raised, P1 is denied locally and R2 is cancelled at IB.
    • C1: after another restart the latch keeps HALTED, and P2 is denied.
  • The runner refuses by default:
    • run connects nothing without --enable-paper-orders.
    • Live ports 4001 and 7496 are refused as refused_live_port, and any other port except 4002 and 7497 is refused before connecting.
    • Also refused: a non-DU or multi-account Gateway, existing positions or orders, a busy client id 93, an engaged latch, a concurrent run (flock), missing prerequisite receipts, any runtime other than 1.231.0/10.45.1, a start outside the session window, and a steps receipt outside the repository.
    • Orders are resting BUY limits at half the bid only: at most 4 per run, 2 of them reaching IB, with no marketable or flattening path.
  • Kill-switch latch and run lock live in one frozen per-account directory (CONTROL_DIR: the password-database home, not $HOME, XDG_STATE_HOME or --state-dir, plus .local/state/native-agent-stack/ibkr-local-acceptance; files 0600, directory 0700). run holds the lock for the whole run and preflight holds it while it connects, so with any --state-dir a preflight during a run is refused, a run during a preflight is refused, and both see an engaged latch.
  • Plans (revision 3, still before any run): local-acceptance-plan.json (regular session) and local-acceptance-plan-post.json (16:00 to 20:00 with outsideRth, regenerated from the regular plan). Both have an overall deadline of 1,620 s against a computed worst case of 1,575 s.
  • Gate receipt ibkr-acceptance/receipt.json. Its preregistered schema is {schema_version 1, kind native_ibkr_local_acceptance, status passed, broker ibkr}. run never writes it. Only the builder, local_acceptance.py gate-receipt, does. It reads files only and writes only when all of these hold:
    • the steps receipt re-derives as passed;
    • the plan is unchanged since the run;
    • both prerequisite receipts pass;
    • independent corroboration records from IB's own records, read by a session that did not start the run, pass every check of their sources and together corroborate every run claim. So a Gateway API message log record is required. A next-day IBKR activity statement record is optional and never stands alone.
It binds the steps receipt and each record by sha256, and its claims_on_the_in_process_observer_only is always empty. Even then it only makes the gate a flip candidate; the flip stays a manual, dated commit after qualification.
  • Tests: 92 offline tests in tests/test_ibkr_local_acceptance.py (9 of them need the 1.231.0 runtime).

Commits. The first five come from claude/ibkr-acceptance-prep-20260925 (base ae3d3d37), cherry-picked onto main 61f9c538. Four of them have the same git patch-id --stable as their originals. 70d068e7 differs from 0395326f only in manifests/evidence.json: the added and removed lines are identical, and only the context lines differ because the base moved. The next three commits resolve the first independent review, and the last two resolve the second:

SOTA sources

Every change builds on one of these maintained upstream sources or published references, checked on 2026-09-25:

  • NautilusTrader v1.231.0 (nautechsystems/nautilus_trader, the newest stable release, PyPI nautilus_trader==1.231.0). The runner drives the Python IB adapter and the engine paths below. These lines were re-read in the installed package at ~/.local/share/codex-ecosystem/tools/nautilus-1.231.0-ib:
    • adapters/interactive_brokers/execution.py:209: the execution client registers venue=None.
    • adapters/interactive_brokers/client/connection.py:160-186: _next_client_id, the bounded client-id fallback band after IB 326 collisions.
    • adapters/interactive_brokers/client/client.py:482-516: the connection watchdog, then disconnect handling and reconnect.
    • live/execution_engine.py:3549-3572: external_order_claims claims a reconciled order.
    • risk/engine.pyx:1137-1149: TradingState.HALTED denies SubmitOrder and SubmitOrderList; cancels pass.
    • trading/strategy.pyx:1917: events are dropped while the strategy is not RUNNING.
  • Official IB TWS API Python client ibapi 10.45.1 (PyPI nautilus-ibapi==10.45.1). It serves as the observer, the contender probe and the own-order cleanup client (EClient/EWrapper).
  • IB TWS API support page, API logs: https://interactivebrokers.github.io/tws-api/support.html. It documents "Create API Message Log File", api.[clientId].[day].log, encryption since TWS build 977, decryption "from the associated TWS or IB Gateway session", and IB Gateway's File > Gateway Logs. This page is the basis for the required corroboration source.
  • IBKR guide "How to Run a Statement": https://www.ibkrguides.com/clientportal/performanceandstatements/runstatement.htm. This is the basis for the optional activity-statement record.
  • Linux flock(2) (man-pages 6.19, 2026-02-08): https://man7.org/linux/man-pages/man2/flock.2.html. Locks belong to an open file description, a second descriptor of the same file is denied even within one process, and LOCK_NB gives EWOULDBLOCK. Python's fcntl.flock (https://docs.python.org/3/library/fcntl.html#fcntl.flock) is the binding. This is the single-writer lock that run and now preflight take.
  • NautilusTrader v2.0.0rc5 (1b0a49d2; source reading only, no rc5 order was placed):
    • crates/execution/src/engine/mod.rs:2222 and crates/adapters/interactive_brokers/src/execution/core.rs:491-496 (#4129) are the basis of the #4983 reclassification.
    • crates/risk/src/engine/mod.rs:1218-1234 is the #4946 fail-open branch.
    • Issues #4983, #5007, #5057, #5060 and #4946, PR #5041 (head 4b17ac3c, Rust ibapi =4.2.0) and develop commit ed6fc8bf.
  • In-repository:
    • blueprints/us-equities/engine-nautilus/ibkr-paper-orders/run.py (sha256 1b697f237275a725a0dcc39ee886c4f07aa27bfba1c2b442982b3c76b02e1012, unchanged). It is the reviewed harness the runner reuses for redaction, the official-ibapi check, prices, budget, session window and node config.
    • docs/acceptance-evidence-policy.md:42-53 (discriminating controls) and :65-69 (a wrapper's own passed is not independent confirmation). These are the rules the gate-receipt builder enforces.

Second independent review: findings resolved

The second independent review returned fix_required with seven findings: three major, three minor, and one note for the coordinator.

  1. No SOTA sources section, plus three evidence errors in this body (major). Fixed in this body:
    • The section above is added. The sota-sources check result on a merge ref against current main is under "Checks run".
    • (a) The full-suite row now gives the argv that passes on this host, ECOSYSTEM_JOB_SECONDS=1500 ecosystem-bounded-run rtk proxy python3 -m unittest, with its result at the new head. Without rtk proxy the job inherits SIGINT ignored, and 11 SIGINT tests fail.
    • (b) The privacy row lists every synthetic hit.
    • (c) The commits paragraph gives the exact patch-id result.
  2. The records named rc5 as the comparison arm, not the user's comparator (major). Fixed in 9f39d48a:
    • The decision record quotes user decision 3 verbatim, with its provenance.
    • The title, the Decision section, alternative 1, comparison 2 and item 3 name the first 2.0.x release (not a dev wheel) containing #5041. Item 3 has no rc5 arm, and the rc5 probe (item 1) is optional evidence for the #4983 reclassification only. A new item 4 sends any other trigger to a new user decision.
    • A dated 23:21Z update supersedes the 21:23Z statement that comparison 2 needs a release carrying the #4946 fix.
    • runtime-target.json local_broker_acceptance_scope names the comparator and the #4983 basis no longer calls the rc5 probe an overturn comparison. The gate note's dated paragraph names the comparator.
    • Both plans' engine.note name it (revision 3; the post plan is regenerated).
  3. An activity statement alone still wrote status passed (major). Fixed in 1d98644f:
    • Plan revision 3 preregisters required_sources: ["gateway_api_message_log"], run_claims, every_run_claim_corroborated: true and a required flag per source. validate_plan holds these equal to CORROBORATION_SOURCES and the new REQUIRED_CORROBORATION_SOURCES.
    • The builder refuses refused_claims_uncorroborated and writes nothing. It names the missing sources and the claims that would rest on the in-process observer.
    • gate_receipt() itself raises for statement-only records.
    • The README table marks the API log required and the statement optional.
    • The statement-only test now expects the refusal, with the discriminating control of the same statement plus an API log record passing.
  4. Record times had no upper bound (minor). Fixed in 1d98644f:
    • The builder refuses any source.retrieved_at or observer.observed_at later than its own clock plus 300 s. The limit is preregistered as max_future_skew_seconds.
    • The tests refuse an API log record dated 30 days after the run, a record whose observed_at alone is ahead, and a same-day statement dated tomorrow. A record at exactly the 300 s edge passes, and the same records pass once the builder's clock is past them.
  5. preflight ignored the run lock (minor). Fixed in 1d98644f, one step beyond the suggested probe:
    • preflight takes the frozen lock without blocking before it connects and holds it until it finishes, then re-reads the latch under the lock. So a preflight during a run is refused as refused_concurrent_run and connects nothing, and a run started during a preflight is refused too.
    • The tests hold the lock (preflight refused with no connection). They also probe the lock from inside preflight's check (held) and run after preflight (passes). A further test engages the latch at lock time (refused).
  6. ibkr-paper-orders/README.md kept the stale #4983 and version-selection text (minor). Fixed in 9f39d48a with a dated 2026-09-25 paragraph that supersedes both. The decision record's list of files citing the #4983 text now includes it.
  7. Coordinator notes (no change in this PR), confirmed:

The fixes from both reviews have not yet had their own independent review, and a cross-family (Codex) review has not run on this PR.

First independent review: findings resolved

The first independent review raised three minor findings on this PR, and all three are fixed. That review ran raw on scratch clones at the PR heads and found no blocker or major finding.

  1. Stale canonical records (runtime-target.json:62-75, the gate note). Fixed in fdd30b01:
    • #4983 moved from rc5_blockers to rc5_reclassified_reports as a stale v1.227.0 report for rc5.
    • #5007, #5057, #5060 and #4946 are listed as the rc5 obstacles.
    • pin_update now reads =4.2.0.
    • A dated paragraph was added to the gate note.
  2. Latch and lock per --state-dir. Fixed in cf5186a8: both moved to the frozen per-account CONTROL_DIR. A legacy latch still counts as engaged, and run re-reads the latch under the lock.
  3. The flip rested on the runner's own receipt and its in-process observer. Fixed in cf5186a8 by the corroboration-gated builder, which 1d98644f tightens.

What the user has to do (the steps the run is waiting on)

Run from this PR's head (9f39d48a or later). Do not use the earlier prep worktree /home/seath/code/ibkr-acceptance-20260925 (446833b3): its runner keeps the latch under --state-dir, and its run writes receipt.json directly.

  1. Start the paper IB Gateway: ~/ibc/start-paper-gateway.sh, or IB Gateway 10.50 with IB API and Paper Trading. Sign in with the paper username and approve the second factor.
  2. In API settings:
    • Read-Only API off. IBC re-applies a non-empty ReadOnlyApi at every start, and the 2026-09-22 handbook recorded ReadOnlyApi=yes. Set it to no, or leave it empty and untick the box.
    • Socket port 4002.
    • Localhost / 127.0.0.1 only.
    • Master API client ID empty, or outside 93 to 98.
    • Create API message log file: on, before the run. The Gateway then writes api.<clientId>.<weekday>.log. This is the required corroboration source: without it no gate receipt can be built for the run.
  3. Sign out of every competing session of the same username.
  4. From the repository root, with ENV=$HOME/.local/share/codex-ecosystem/tools/nautilus-1.231.0-ib and RUNNER=blueprints/us-equities/engine-nautilus/ibkr-acceptance/local_acceptance.py:
    • "$ENV/bin/python" "$RUNNER" preflight --port 4002 is read-only and should print "status": "ready".
    • Then "$ENV/bin/python" "$RUNNER" run --port 4002 --enable-paper-orders --receipt blueprints/us-equities/engine-nautilus/ibkr-acceptance/evidence/local-acceptance-$(date -u +%Y%m%dT%H%MZ).json.
    • Timing: a regular-session run starts by about 15:23 ET. After 16:00, add --plan local-acceptance-plan-post.json to both commands; the latest start is then about 19:23 ET.
  5. After the run the latch stays engaged by design, for every --state-dir. Check it with "$ENV/bin/python" "$RUNNER" kill-switch status, then clear it with kill-switch clear --confirm --reason 'reviewed run <run_prefix>'. Commit the steps receipt.
  6. Corroboration, by a session that did not start the run (README "Independent corroboration"). Decrypt the API message logs of client ids 93 and 98 from the same Gateway session and keep them private, then commit the API log corroboration record. Optionally also retrieve the next-day Daily Activity statement and commit its record. Then run "$ENV/bin/python" "$RUNNER" gate-receipt --steps-receipt <steps receipt> --corroboration <api log record> [--corroboration <statement record>]. It must run after the records' retrieval times. Commit receipt.json with the records for independent qualification.

The Nautilus console is not redacted and prints the account id, so do not save or commit it. The raw API logs and statements contain the account id too; only their sha256 goes into a record.

Upstream check (gh api, 2026-09-25T21:23Z; source reading and inference, not observed; not repeated for the second review):

  • nautilus_trader#4983 is open with 0 comments, filed 2026-09-12 against v1.227.0. At tag v2.0.0rc5 (1b0a49d2) the engine denies only when client.handles_order_venue is false (crates/execution/src/engine/mod.rs:2222), and the Rust IB execution client returns true (crates/adapters/interactive_brokers/src/execution/core.rs:491-496, #4129, merged 2026-05-25). So #4983 is a stale v1.227.0 report for rc5. No rc5 stock order has been tried on this host.
  • PR #5041 is open and unmerged, mergeable_state dirty, head 4b17ac3c, +22,773/-11,740 across 123 files, body sha256 050141af…. Its root Cargo.toml moves Rust ibapi from =3.3.0 to =4.2.0. It lists #5007, #5057, #5060, #4946, #4970, #4564, #4932 and others as covered.
  • #5007 (open, rc5), #5057 (open, rc6.dev and rc5), #5060 (open, rc5 and develop) and #4946 (closed 2026-09-25T11:03:11Z by develop commit ed6fc8bf; the fail-open branch is at crates/risk/src/engine/mod.rs:1218-1234 at rc5) are the rc5 obstacles now in runtime-target.json rc5_blockers.
  • The newest release is v2.0.0rc5 (prerelease). The newest stable release is v1.231.0. No release contains #5041 or ed6fc8bf.
  • IB's API-log statements were re-read on 2026-09-25 for this revision (support page above). The Gateway 10.50 export steps and the paper account's activity statements are not verified here.
  • The 1.231.0 backtest caught a real bug before any run. Strategy.handle_event drops events while the strategy is not RUNNING (trading/strategy.pyx:1917), so a denial raised in on_start was lost. The first case now starts on the first timer tick, and a regression test covers it.

Checks run

All checks ran at branch head 9f39d48a (1d98644f plus the records commit 9f39d48a), each prefixed with rtk proxy. Two rows ran on the working tree before the commit split: the first full suite and the mutation row. The mutation row covers the runner and tests, which are unchanged since. Every other row, including the second full suite, ran at the head.

  • sota-sources passed for the first time on this PR: "SOTA sources section present (3236 characters)" (run 36201772505, job 108290468046).
  • Also passed: validate, validate-macos, secret-scan, verdict-review-gate, token-report, dependency-review, osv-scanner, CodeQL and every Analyze job, nautilus-offline-replay, bootstrap-linux, bootstrap-macos, bootstrap-macos-brew, changes and both Socket checks.

  • Adding these results to the description re-runs the validate workflow on the same head.

Limits and follow-ups

  • Independent review so far: two same-family forked /code-review (high) passes, then two independent reviews whose findings are resolved above. The fixes to the second review's findings have not been independently reviewed yet, and a cross-family (Codex) review has not run.
  • Every run-level result is unobserved. The tests are synthetic offline fixtures plus a simulated-ARCA BacktestEngine under 1.231.0; none of them is IBKR evidence. The corroboration records in the tests are synthetic.
  • The first real run has to confirm these inferences:
    • IB keeps working API DAY orders across a client disconnect.
    • reqCompletedOrders(apiOnly) on client 98 lists other clients' cancelled API orders. If it does not, the after-B checkpoint fails loudly instead of passing.
    • IB answers 326 to a duplicate client id without dropping the node's connection.
    • The Gateway's API message log can be decrypted from the same session on Gateway 10.50. That is now required for a gate receipt, so a run without a readable log cannot flip the gate. Whether IBKR issues a daily activity statement for the paper account is optional evidence.
  • The builder checks a corroboration record's structure, bindings and times against its own clock, not the private raw files it names. Its checks are the corroborating session's statement, re-checkable against the files' sha256, and a wrong system clock on the builder's host would move the 300 s bound.
  • Run files default to ~/.local/state/native-agent-stack/ibkr-local-acceptance; --state-dir moves them but not the latch or the lock. The account id reaches the phase processes only through a same-user environment variable.
  • The comparator arm (the first 2.0.x release containing #5041) has no date. The 1.231.0 selection stays keep-but-compare until it runs.

Not established by this PR

  • The ibkr-local-acceptance gate: not_established, no receipt, no flip.
  • Any IBKR order behaviour on 1.231.0 or rc5 (steps 2 to 4), any live configuration, and live-go (user decision, untouched).

… (keep-but-compare)

Dated version-selection record for the ibkr-local-acceptance gate: local
acceptance runs on NautilusTrader 1.231.0's Python IB adapter (official
ibapi 10.45.1), with the pinned 2.0.0rc5 Rust adapter kept as the
comparison arm until a release carrying PR #5041 (or fixes for #4983,
#5057 and #5060) passes the same frozen case set.

Upstream checked with gh api at 2026-09-25T18:21Z: #4983 open (filed
against v1.227.0); PR #5041 open, unmerged, dirty, under maintainer
review, now pinning ibapi =4.2.0; newest release v2.0.0rc5, newest
stable v1.231.0. Source check (not observed): the rc5 IB execution
client already overrides handles_order_venue (#4129), so the #4983
denial is unconfirmed for rc5; an rc5 stock-order probe is named as the
first comparison. No gate status changes; live-go stays a user decision.

…lans and offline tests

blueprints/us-equities/engine-nautilus/ibkr-acceptance/local_acceptance.py
runs the acceptance-plan section 5 cases the 2026-09-23 paper-order
receipt left open, on NautilusTrader 1.231.0's own IB execution engine,
in three fresh-process TradingNode phases on client id 93 with an
independent official-ibapi observer on client 98:

- A1-A4: resting R1 accepted; client-id ownership (contender refused with
  IB 326, observer maps orderRef/orderId/permId onto the node's order);
reconnect with R1 working (socket shut down, adapter reconnects on id
  93, R1 still working, IB-confirmed cancel); R2 left working.
- B1-B2: restart reconciliation adopts R2 (external_order_claims); kill
switch writes a durable latch, sets the RiskEngine HALTED, P1 denied
  locally, R2 cancelled at IB.
- C1: a second restart honours the latch before the node runs; P2 denied.

Refuses by default: no connection without --enable-paper-orders; live
ports 4001/7496 and any non-paper port; non-DU or multi-account
gateways, existing positions/orders, a busy client id, an engaged latch,
a concurrent run, missing prerequisites, an unpinned runtime and starts
outside the session window. Resting BUY limits only (max 4 orders, 2
reaching IB); no marketable or flattening order. Leftovers of the run
are cancelled through ibapi on the node id only after the phase process
exits. The preregistered gate receipt (native_ibkr_local_acceptance) is
written only when every case and checkpoint passed and both prerequisite
receipts exist with status passed; the flip stays a manual dated commit.

The README gains the exact user steps (paper Gateway via IBC or ~/Jts,
2FA, Read-Only API off, port 4002, 127.0.0.1, empty master client id)
and the preflight/run commands. A regular-session and an after-hours
plan are frozen before any run. Offline tests: 58 (plain python3: 50
run, 8 skipped; NautilusTrader 1.231.0 runtime: 58 run, including a
BacktestEngine flow with the real 1.231.0 RiskEngine HALTED denial).

Findings from a /code-review (high) pass on 0395326f, each supported by
the code and fixed here:

- The after-B and final checkpoints now require IB's completed-orders
list to show R1 and R2 cancelled; before, an empty or partial list let
"P1/P2 never reached IB" pass vacuously.
- ibapi cleanup is observer-guided and never reports none_open from an
incomplete listing: the check id lists the run's open orders and their
holders, each holder inside the adapter's fallback band (93-97) cancels
its own, and a final complete observation decides.
- The plan hash is bound at run start; the parent stops before a phase if
the plan file changed, and each phase re-checks the same hash.
- A3 passes only after the adapter itself recorded a disconnection after
the fault (_last_disconnection_ns); a transient not-ready is not enough.
- Deadlines: 15 s phase slack (build, first-tick start, watchdog
granularity) and a worst_case_seconds() bound that counts process
graces, cleanup rounds and observer retries; overall 1,500 s (worst
  case 1,445 s), so a regular-session run starts by about 15:25 ET.
- A gate receipt needs a steps receipt inside the repository; a failed
gate write is recorded in the steps receipt.
- Provisional phase results are written without fsync on the event loop.
- _dec, is_gate_receipt and the paper-account latch come from the shared
  ibkr-paper-orders harness.

Offline tests: 67 (NautilusTrader 1.231.0 runtime: 67 run, OK; plain
python3: 58 run, 9 skipped, OK). validate.py and the evidence manifest
check pass; trading_gates.py --check lists no flip candidate.

A second /code-review (high) pass on 32762795 found issues in the first
round of fixes; each was supported by the code and is fixed here:

- The completed-orders requirement applies only once a probe was
attempted (P1 in phase B, P2 in phase C), so a run stopped in phase A
  ends incomplete instead of failed.
- worst_case_seconds counts up to min(fallback band, max_orders) holder
  ids per cancel round and every observation the cleanup may make;
  overall_deadline_seconds is now 1,620 s (worst case 1,575 s), latest
  regular-session start about 15:23 ET.
- A plan file that cannot be read mid-run counts as changed: the runner
stops before the next phase and still cleans up.
- run refuses a steps receipt outside the repository before connecting
  (refused_receipt_outside_repository); prerequisites and the receipt
location are judged against the same repository root.
- A failed gate write leaves gate_receipt {eligible: false,
reason: gate_receipt_write_failed} with one error field.
- A failed cleanup observation no longer uses up a cancel round, and
the cleanup takes its observer by keyword like the rest of the runner.
- The observer inherits the shared paper-account latch from
CheckState instead of calling it unbound; the shared gate-path check
raises instead of relying on assert.
- README states the deadline and worst-case figures separately.

Offline tests: 71 in the new module; all three IBKR modules 175
(NautilusTrader 1.231.0: 175 run, OK; plain python3: 153 run, 22
skipped, OK). validate.py and the evidence manifest check pass.

…ewed runner

Prose only, before any run: the plans' failure disposition now describes
the observer-guided cleanup over the adapter's fallback band (93-97)
instead of client 93 alone, the kill-switch clear needs --reason, and
the final checkpoint requires R1 and R2 listed cancelled once a probe
was attempted. The README lists every gate-receipt condition (the
version-selection record and an in-repository steps receipt included).
No code or bound changes; both plans still differ only in the session.

Checks: validate.py and the manifest order check pass; the three IBKR
test modules pass (NautilusTrader 1.231.0: 175 OK; plain python3 with
tests.test_validate: 232 run, 22 skipped, OK). The full suite ran on the
parent commit 0c8990db: 5380 tests OK, 637 skipped.

…ction record

Resolves the first minor finding of the first independent review of PR #280:
after merge, catalogs/us-equities/runtime-target.json and the
ibkr-local-acceptance gate note contradicted the PR's own decision record.

- runtime-target.json: #4983 moves from rc5_blockers to rc5_reclassified_reports
  as a stale v1.227.0 report for rc5. At tag v2.0.0rc5 (1b0a49d2)
  crates/execution/src/engine/mod.rs:2222 denies only when handles_order_venue
is false, and the IB execution client returns true
  (crates/adapters/interactive_brokers/src/execution/core.rs:491-496, #4129,
  merged 2026-05-25, after v1.227.0). rc5_blockers now lists the rc5
obstacles on the recovery and risk paths, each with state, version and
source: #5007, #5057 and #5060 (open, listed as covered by #5041) and #4946
  (fail-open account-scoped risk checks at crates/risk/src/engine/mod.rs:1218-1234
at rc5; closed 2026-09-25 by develop commit ed6fc8bf, in no release).
  upstream_ibapi_pin.pin_update now says #5041 pins =4.2.0 (head 4b17ac3c,
Cargo.toml diff), not =4.1.0. The scope text no longer says that no dated
  version-selection record exists.
- gates-20260922.json: a dated paragraph opens the ibkr-local-acceptance note
and supersedes its #4983 and =4.1.0 statements; status, flip condition and
  every other gate are unchanged.
- The decision record gets a dated update with the same re-check and #4946.

Upstream state from gh api at 2026-09-25T21:23Z; source reading, no rc5 order.

… a corroboration-gated builder

Resolves the second and third minor findings of the first independent review
of PR #280, before any run of local_acceptance.py.

Latch and lock (finding 2): the kill-switch latch, its audit log and the
single-writer run lock lived under --state-dir, so a run with another state
directory did not see an engaged latch. They now live in one frozen
per-account directory, CONTROL_DIR: the account's home directory from the
password database (not $HOME, XDG_STATE_HOME or --state-dir) plus
.local/state/native-agent-stack/ibkr-local-acceptance. Latch, audit and lock
are 0600, the directory 0700. A latch file an earlier revision wrote under a
state directory also reads as engaged and 'kill-switch clear' removes it. run
reads the latch again once it holds the lock. Tests: a latch engaged with one
state directory refuses run and preflight with others, a held lock refuses a
run with another state directory, the legacy latch, the TOCTOU re-check, and
the path ignoring HOME and XDG_STATE_HOME.

Corroboration (finding 3): the run's status is its own result and its observer
uses the same official ibapi library as the adapter, so neither is independent
confirmation (docs/acceptance-evidence-policy.md). run now writes the steps
receipt only, with gate_receipt awaiting independent_corroboration and a
finished_at time. The new 'gate-receipt' subcommand is the only writer of
receipt.json. It reads files only and refuses (exit 3, nothing written) unless
the steps receipt re-derives as passed, the plan is unchanged since the run,
the prerequisites pass, and at least one corroboration record from IB's own
records passes every check of its source: the Gateway API message log
(corroborates every run claim) or the next-day IBKR activity statement (no
fill, flat). A record binds the run prefix and the steps receipt's path and
sha256, names the private raw files by sha256, is retrieved and observed after
the run by a separate session that did not start it, and carries no account id
or home path. The gate receipt binds each record and lists the claims that
rest on the in-process observer alone. Both plans move to revision 2 with the
new latch/lock text and a preregistered corroboration block that validate_plan
holds equal to the builder's; bounds, cases, phases, checkpoints and timeouts
are unchanged, and the after-hours plan is regenerated from the regular one.
The README documents the steps (switch the API message log on before the run).

Offline tests only; no Gateway, connection or order.

Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
The gate-receipt builder checks a corroboration record's structure, bindings
and times but cannot read the private raw files, so the record's checks remain
the corroborating session's statement, re-checkable against the files' sha256
by anyone who holds them.

…ecord times; preflight holds the run lock

Second independent review of PR #280, findings 3 to 5 (plan revision 3, still before any run):

- Finding 3: an activity statement alone no longer makes a gate receipt. Orders rest at half
the bid, so no fill and a flat account are expected whether or not the kill switch worked.
  CORROBORATION_SOURCES marks the Gateway API message log required and the statement optional;
the builder refuses refused_claims_uncorroborated (nothing written) unless the checked records
include every required source and corroborate every run claim, and gate_receipt() raises on
the same condition. The plans preregister required_sources, run_claims,
every_run_claim_corroborated and a required flag per source; validate_plan holds them equal
  to the builder's constants.
- Finding 4: a record's retrieved_at or observed_at later than the builder's clock plus 300 s
  (max_future_skew_seconds, preregistered) is refused; cmd_gate_receipt takes a now_fn hook.
- Finding 5: preflight takes the frozen run lock without blocking before it connects and holds
it until it finishes, re-reading the latch under the lock, so a preflight during a run and a
run during a preflight are both refused (refused_concurrent_run).
- Both plans' engine.note name the user's comparator (the first 2.0.x release containing
nautilus_trader#5041); the post plan is regenerated from the regular plan.

Tests: 92 in tests/test_ibkr_local_acceptance.py (89 before), with discriminating controls;
mutations disabling each fix fail the new tests. README and manifest entries updated.

Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
…stale #4983 text

Second independent review of PR #280, findings 2 and 6:

- Finding 2: the decision record quotes user decision 3 of 2026-09-25 verbatim ("NautilusTrader
1.231.0 + ibapi 10.45.1 for local acceptance, keep-but-compare against the first 2.0.x release
containing nautilus_trader PR #5041") and names that release (not a dev wheel) as the
comparator in the title, the Decision section, alternative 1 and the overturn comparisons.
The rc5 stock-order probe is optional evidence for the #4983 reclassification only, item 3 has
no rc5 arm, and any other trigger needs a new user decision. A dated update supersedes the
21:23Z statement that comparison 2 needs a release carrying the #4946 fix.
runtime-target.json local_broker_acceptance_scope and the #4983 basis, and the dated paragraph
of the ibkr-local-acceptance gate note, match. Gate status and flip condition are unchanged.
- Finding 6: ibkr-paper-orders/README.md gets a dated 2026-09-25 paragraph superseding its
version-selection sentence and its #4983 statement; the decision record lists the file among
those that cited the issue text.

Manifest entries recomputed.

Upstream facts for the IBKR lane (relayed by the trading-lane coordinator, 2026-09-26; from the workstation SOTA sweep's catalog-freshness run 36205743492):

  • nautechsystems/nautilus_ibapi is archived upstream. main's blueprints/us-equities/engine-nautilus/ibkr-acceptance/README.md installs nautilus-ibapi. This PR uses the official ibapi 10.45.1, as NautilusTrader 1.231.0's adapter does, so the archived package matters here only if a step still installs it.
  • wboayue/rust-ibapi is pinned at 3.3.0, and upstream is at 4.2.0. The notice-2188 fix cited in runtime-target.json (rust-ibapi#764, fixed by fix: relock production dependencies and preserve captured evidence #765) shipped in v4.0.0, so the pinned 3.3.0 predates it.

These are facts only. No change is requested before the user's IB Gateway sign-in.

…und, lane limit 12

Regenerated once with the pipeline of the earlier rounds, on the tools of
7760b1da, so the manifest sha changes once.

- Usage: the three usage records were re-measured with child-usage.mjs at
  7760b1da (sha256 85b95813...730d). Each child_usage is identical to the
1bd2416b measurement: wf_8397ada1-777 stays complete (none of its 8
superseded attempts holds uncounted usage) and run 1 stays incomplete, so
lower_bound_usage and every ledger outcome are unchanged. Only
  tool_commit, tool_sha256 and measured_at_utc changed.
- Lane limit 12, a dated correction from the trading lane's review of #357:
  the execution-broker proposal of wboayue/rust-ibapi (a re-pin through
nautilus_trader PR #5041) attributes #4983 to rc5. Checked with gh api:
#4983's body reports Version v1.227.0; 1b0a49d2 is identical to tag
  v2.0.0rc5, and there crates/adapters/interactive_brokers/src/execution/
core.rs:493-495 overrides handles_order_venue to return true, so the
  ClientVenueMismatch denial behind crates/execution/src/engine/mod.rs:2222
cannot fire for the IB client; the open PR #280 reclassifies #4983 in
catalogs/us-equities/runtime-target.json. Read instead: rc5 IBKR execution
is unqualified (no rc5 stock order observed). The proposal text is kept.
- convert.py with limits 1-12: exit 3 on the same two notes, summary
  identical. returns.json and layers.json are byte-identical; lanes.json and
manifest-20260926.json differ only by the added limit (pin ids unchanged:
  60 occurrences, 39 distinct).
- make_result.py with the per-worker, per-layer coverage check passes on
this record and gives the same RESULT.json.
- Ledger: both 2026-09-26 records were re-appended onto origin/main's ledger
  (803bc35, unchanged since 3822178). Only manifest_sha256, usage_sha256
  and the chain hashes changed.
- README and independent-review.json: the third review round (GPT-6-Astra,
NOT_READY, two P2 findings, both reproduced and repaired in 7760b1da) and
  the trading lane's correction.

Verification, with a simulated registration of the 18 changed registered
files: saturation_ledger.py --check --base origin/main passes (4 records,
chain intact) and scripts/validate.py passes. Tests: tests.test_saturation_ledger,
tests.test_landscape_sweep_harness, tests.test_adoption_docs_consistency and
tests.test_verdict_lane_vendoring 198 run, OK (3 skipped: no bash 3.2, no
shellcheck, no profile coverage change); test-child-usage.mjs 51 passed;
tests.test_gitleaks_config 27 OK. manifests/evidence.json is not edited; the
coordinator registers the changed files.

…est-20260926 for the verdict wave (11 lane limits) (#357)

* Landscape-sweep usage: measure runs past 64 KiB, re-run calls and effort deviations

Recording the 2026-09-26 sweep (wf_8397ada1-777, 201 agents) exposed three gaps
in the packaged harness for a run it legitimately produced:

- child-usage.mjs printed its summary and then called process.exit(), which
drops stdout writes still pending on a pipe. usage_record.py captures stdout
through a pipe, so any run whose summary exceeds 64 KiB was cut at exactly
65,536 bytes and failed to parse (184,831 bytes for this run). It now sets
process.exitCode instead, as the Node.js process.exit() documentation advises.
- At a Claude usage limit the Workflow paused and re-ran its 8 waiting agents
after the reset under the same journal key ("Re-running 8 waiting agents").
child-usage.mjs counted each earlier attempt as an incomplete child, so a run
in which every call returned read as incomplete, and convert.py measured
those votes from the failed attempt ("<synthetic>+claude-opus-5-5").
child-usage.mjs now lists an attempt that returned nothing and whose key
started again under superseded_attempts (with superseded_by), keeps its
  issues and effort check, and still counts its usage in by_resolved_model;
convert.py takes the attempt that returned and never names <synthetic>.
- A worker measured at another effort than max (here a pinned skill with
`effort: low` frontmatter lowered the final turn of three workers) made
make_result.py refuse the whole record. convert.py --usage now records each
such worker as an effort_deviation retained failure of its layer (the
critic's of every layer), which reopens the layer; make_result.py accepts
the usage only when every deviation is recorded so.

Tests: new cases in test-child-usage.mjs and tests/test_landscape_sweep_harness.py
fail on 3822178 and pass here; SHA256SUMS updated for the two changed files.

* Landscape-sweep source reviews: review a Hugging Face model survivor at its Hub commit

The 2026-09-26 sweep (wf_8397ada1-777) kept a Hugging Face model repository in
agents-models-workers (https://huggingface.co/XingChen-AGI/Xing4.0-29B-A4B), a
legitimate survivor of a model layer. source_reviews.py read only GitHub through
gh api, refused it as "not a GitHub repository URL", and make_result.py then
refused the record for a survivor without a source review.

source_reviews.py now reviews a Hugging Face model repository at the commit of
its default revision. The Hub's model-info endpoint /api/models/<repo_id> (the
endpoint huggingface_hub's HfApi.model_info calls, checked at huggingface_hub
main 62a1f2fa8383) gives the commit, the card license and the repository state.
The model card is read at that commit through the documented "Resolve a file"
endpoint (https://huggingface.co/.well-known/openapi.json), anonymously, and its
YAML metadata block is not excerpted. The review is named
hf-<namespace>-<name>.json. A Hub dataset or Space URL is still reported and
skipped. The GitHub path is unchanged apart from sharing the excerpt helper.

Test: SourceReviewTests.test_a_hugging_face_model_survivor_is_reviewed_at_its_hub_commit
(stubbed Hub fetch, no network) fails before this change and passes with it.

* Saturation ledger test: derive the seed-only state from the two seed records

test_no_seed_layer_counts_as_clean asserted that no layer of the whole committed
ledger counts as clean. That held while the ledger held only the 2026-09-23 seed
records; a later completed sweep with clean layers (landscape-sweep-20260926
leaves agent-sdks, backtesting-engine and token-efficiency at 1) is its own
evidence and made the whole-ledger assertion false. The test now derives the
state from the two seed records, which is what its name and the seed checks
around it assert.

* Landscape-sweep source reviews: repairs from the independent review

An independent headless review (claude -p, Opus, read-only) of the Hugging Face
support found three low-severity defects. Each is now covered by
SourceReviewTests.test_hub_reviews_survive_truncated_responses_trailing_slashes_and_indented_card_metadata,
which fails on the previous code and passes here:

- hub_get caught URLError, OSError and ValueError, but http.client.HTTPException
(IncompleteRead, BadStatusLine) is not an OSError. One truncated Hub response
therefore aborted the whole run with a traceback before any review was
written. It is now a HubError and is reported and skipped like any other.
- Survivors were grouped by sweep_common.slug(), which keeps a Hugging Face URL
whole, so the same model with and without a trailing slash got two reviews.
  repository_key() now groups a model as hf:<namespace>/<name>. make_result.py
matches a review to a survivor as the ledger compares repositories (no
trailing slash, lowercased), so it finds the review either way.
- The card's YAML metadata block was stripped only when the card began with
"---". It now uses huggingface_hub's repocard.REGEX_YAML_BLOCK (checked at
main 62a1f2fa8383), which allows leading whitespace.

A model-info response that is not a JSON object is also refused as a HubError.

* gitleaks: exempt the reviewed pin commit ids of manifest-20260926 by value

catalogs/sota-convergence/manifest-20260926.json (landscape-sweep-20260926)
names the rule id "sourcegraph-access-token" once, in a secrets-credentials
refuter's reasoning. The rule's keyword then makes every 40-hex value in the
file a candidate. The lane's own free-text commit ids are shortened to 12
characters in the retained evidence. The only 40-hex values left are the 39
distinct git commit ids of the 60 pins that the generator copies from the
catalog layer files, and those pins come in free-form shapes such as
"v0.44.0; source <id>" and "<id> (blueprints/...)".

The allowlist is rule-scoped and limited to that exact file. It exempts only
a finding whose secret is exactly one of those reviewed ids, pinned by value
like the ai-memory fingerprints. It does not exempt a line shape: an
independent review of a first, line-shaped version found that any bare 40-hex
value on a pin line, such as a legacy Sourcegraph token or an uppercase
variant, would have passed. An unreviewed 40-hex value on a pin line or
elsewhere, the uppercase form of a reviewed id, an sgp_-prefixed token, and the
reviewed ids in any other file all stay detected.

Tests: test_d3 and test_d4 in tests/test_gitleaks_config.py read the pinned ids
from .gitleaks.toml, because a 40-hex literal in the test file would itself be
a finding. Both fail without the allowlist and pass with it. The full suite
passes with GITLEAKS_TESTS_REQUIRED=1 on the pinned gitleaks 8.30.1 (27 tests,
none skipped).

* Landscape sweep 2026-09-26: record wf_8397ada1-777 and its stopped first attempt

Records the 2026-09-26 saturation sweep of all 32 layers (Workflow run
wf_8397ada1-777, 201 Claude children at effort max, 80 GPT-6-Astra jobs) with
the packaged tools/sota-convergence/landscape-sweep/ harness:

- usage_record.py: child-usage complete, with 201 children and 8 superseded
attempts (re-run after a Claude usage-limit pause). Three effort deviations
(the property-based-testing skill's effort: low) are recorded as retained
  failures.
- convert.py: 32 layers, 287 proposals and 56 survivors (54 repositories), with
no lost or excluded rounds. 7 layers have Claude-only discovery, 9 layers have
no first-round GPT-6 fit votes, and 18 layers are reopened. GPT-6 jobs: ok 64,
  failed_exit_null 8, failed_exit_3 6, failed_exit_1 2; copy check match 64.
Nine run-specific lane limits cover the prototype harness, the cut
known-repository slugs, the GPT-6 failures and their causes (the job timeline
is retained in gpt6-jobs.json), the seed mapping and the 12 unsurfaced
seeds, effort, the Claude usage-limit re-run, call scope, the Codex review
  step and the earlier attempts.
- Redactions: host strings with host_receipts.sanitize(); the manifest
  builder's credential-name marker; free-text 40-hex commit ids shortened to
12 characters, because the file names the sourcegraph-access-token rule.
- source_reviews.py: one upstream-provenance review per surviving repository
(53 GitHub, 1 Hugging Face model).
- build_manifest.py: catalogs/sota-convergence/manifest-20260926.json. Its
Codex review step is this run's GPT-6 lanes, not a separate review.
- make_result.py and saturation_ledger.py --append: landscape-sweep-20260926
  (completed) after landscape-sweep-20260926-attempt-1 (wf_a874897e-af1,
stopped, lower-bound usage). Reopen entries also copy the saturation
  report's current pin_moved and selection_changed triggers. The one-layer
smoke wf_1753e674-5dc is retained as an attempt without a ledger record.
- The Tavily Research cross-check is kept as discovery leads only (no report
  text, hashed request ids).
- independent-review.json records a separate headless Opus review (read-only):
needs_changes with six low findings, all repaired in this branch (one repair
  round).

Evidence class: proposals, refuter votes and upstream source reviews. Nothing
was installed and no winner changed. manifests/evidence.json is not edited here:
the coordinator registers the new and changed files. With a simulated
registration, saturation_ledger.py --check --base origin/main, scripts/validate.py
and the harness and ledger tests pass.

* Landscape-sweep tools: record capped WebSearch calls and refutations by absence

Repairs two defects that the review of the 2026-09-26 record found in the packaged lane.

WebSearch session cap. Claude Code allows one session at most
CLAUDE_CODE_MAX_WEB_SEARCHES_PER_SESSION WebSearch calls (default 200 since
v2.1.212), counted across the main conversation and every subagent. A capped
call returns a notice that tells the worker to go on without searching
(tools-reference "Session search limit"; env-vars; the 2.1.283 client's
default is Q=200). The lane's budgets allow 480 discovery and 640 refuter
searches, so a full sweep can pass the cap unnoticed:
- child-usage.mjs counts each child's WebSearch calls and capped calls
(web_search, from tool_use/tool_result pairs; the notice must open the
result section) and totals them per run. Neither usage nor exit codes change.
- convert.py --usage makes every capped worker a web_search_capped retained
failure of its layer (the critic's of every layer), as with effort_deviation.
- make_result.py refuses a usage record without a measured web_search, or one
whose capped workers the returns do not list as that failure.
- The harness README (Coordination), the recipe and usage_record.py say how to
raise the cap before a full sweep.

Refuted by absence. A proposal refuted only because a vote did not return
(the GPT-6 fit vote in nine layers of 2026-09-26) counted downstream as
refuted on merit: as known in later sweeps and as previous_sweep.refuted in
the next discovery input.
- convert.py marks a missing facts vote {missing: true} (fit members already
were) and names such proposals in the layer's votes_note.
- saturation_ledger.py: refutes_on_merit and refuted_by_absence read the
marker; adjudicated_repos leaves those entries out in --check and --append,
so a later re-proposal stays new. Existing records are unaffected: none
before 2026-09-26 has such an entry.
- build_inputs.py lists them under previous_sweep.not_adjudicated with a note.

Tests: node test-child-usage.mjs (46), tests.test_landscape_sweep_harness and
tests.test_saturation_ledger (one expected failure until the coordinator
registers this branch's evidence), tests.test_verdict_lane_vendoring;
SHA256SUMS updated for the two changed example files.

* Landscape sweep 2026-09-26 record: WebSearch cap and refutations by absence

The repair round for the record review's two findings, rebuilt with the tools
of 1bd2416b.

- Usage: the three usage records were re-measured with child-usage.mjs at
1bd2416b. Every usage figure is unchanged, and each record gains web_search.
In wf_8397ada1-777, 200 WebSearch calls were made, 154 returned results and
46 were capped, in 30 workers. The first capped call was at 04:10:13Z and
the last at 11:55:57Z. Run 1 made 25 calls and the smoke 1, none capped.
The compact attempt records copy those counts.
- convert.py: counts unchanged (32 layers, 287 proposals, 56 survivors, no
lost or excluded round; copy check match 64). returns.json differs from the
previous record only by 61 added web_search_capped failures: 29 for workers
in 16 layers and one for the critic in each of the 32 layers. All 32 layers
are reopened. No layer is clean. agent-sdks, backtesting-engine and
token-efficiency were clean before this repair.
- Lane limits: limit 3 now states the 27 proposals refuted by absence, limit
7 gives the measured WebSearch counts, and the new limit 10 covers the
session cap. The manifest was rebuilt; only its lane limits changed, and
its 39 pin ids are unchanged.
- Ledger: both 2026-09-26 records were re-appended onto origin/main's ledger.
The records gain nine votes_note entries, the new reopen entries and a
note on the cap. known/new, survived and refuted are unchanged.
- README: new sections on the WebSearch session cap and on refuted by
absence, a regenerated layer table, and the second review round with the
rejected alternative (new GPT-6 fit votes would come from a new model run,
not from this run). independent-review.json records that second round.

Verification, with a simulated registration of every new and changed file:
saturation_ledger.py --check --base origin/main passes, and scripts/validate.py
passes. The CI-style suites pass: test_saturation_ledger,
test_landscape_sweep_harness, test_verdict_lane_vendoring and
test_gitleaks_config (181 tests, 2 skipped for bash 3.2 and shellcheck).
node test-child-usage.mjs passes (46). The coordinator registers the files in
manifests/evidence.json.

* Landscape sweep 2026-09-26 record: GPT-6 cached web search and the Tavily lead vetting

Adds two facts to the record of wf_8397ada1-777 and regenerates it with the
packaged tools, as the previous rounds did.

- Lane limit 11: every GPT-6-Astra lane, discovery and fit, searched Codex's
cached web index, not the live web. The prototype runner started each job
as codex --search exec. The #332 Codex qualification
  (sota-refresh-20260926/codex/results/websearch-0.155.1.json and
websearch-0.157.1.json, local stand-in provider) shows --search before exec
(W1) and no flag (W2) both sending external_web_access: false, and
  -c web_search="live" (W3) sending true. The coordinator's observation of a
real 0.157.1 live search is not retained. GPT-6 discoveries and votes rested
on the cached index, and the release and activity facts GPT-6 cited may lag
upstream; with limit 10, no lane after 04:10:13Z had live web search except
through gh api and WebFetch. Future runs pass -c web_search="live"; the
codex_job.py fix follows in a separate PR.
- Regeneration: convert.py with all eleven --limit values (exit 3 for the same
two notes; summary identical to the previous round), redaction, id
shortening, the credential-name marker and build_manifest.py (pin ids
  unchanged: 60 occurrences, 39 distinct). returns.json and layers.json are
byte-identical; lanes.json and manifest-20260926.json differ only by the
  added limit.
- Ledger: both 2026-09-26 records were re-appended onto origin/main's ledger
(unchanged since 3822178). Only manifest_sha256 (both records), one added
note on limit 11 (completed record) and the chain hashes changed.
- Addendum tavily-leads-vetting.json: the lead vetting of wf_6a6cb7b8-c22
(Sonnet screen, then the sweep's facts refuter and two-family fit
  refuters). 136 leads in 30 layers, 100 dismissed, 36 proposed, 29 kept,
0 survivors; the Claude fit refuter refuted all 29, GPT-6 21, the facts
refuter 4; 8 split cases where GPT-6 did not refute but Claude did.
Discovery-completeness evidence, not a verdict, with both search limits
(Claude WebSearch capped: 2 calls, both capped; GPT-6 cached). Sanitized
with host_receipts.sanitize(); one ref reads <checkout>. Its 23 40-hex ids
are shortened to 12 characters, as in returns.json, because the file names
sourcegraph/* leads (gitleaks sourcegraph-access-token rule). Its usage
  record child-usage-wf_6a6cb7b8-c22.json (usage_record.py): complete, 75
  children at effort max.
- README: GPT-6 cached web search and lead vetting sections, limit 11, files,
redaction, verification; limit 11 and the addendum are not yet reviewed.

Verification, with a simulated registration of every new and changed file:
saturation_ledger.py --check --base origin/main passes (4 records, chain
intact) and scripts/validate.py passes. tests.test_saturation_ledger and
tests.test_landscape_sweep_harness: 141 run, OK, 2 skipped (no bash 3.2, no
shellcheck). tests.test_gitleaks_config and tests.test_verdict_lane_vendoring:
40 run, OK, once another scan's per-user gitleaks lock was free. Without the
registration, test_the_committed_ledger_checks fails only on unregistered
lane files, as before. manifests/evidence.json is not edited; the coordinator
registers the files.

* Register the landscape-sweep-20260926 record (hot-file commit)

Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>

* Landscape-sweep tools: superseded attempts keep usage-integrity failures; failure coverage per worker and layer

Repairs the two P2 findings of a read-only GPT-6-Astra review (max effort,
live search) of the 2026-09-26 record's checkout. Each repair comes with a
regression test that failed before it.

(A) child-usage.mjs: a superseded attempt whose transcript held an assistant
message without provider usage left the run status "complete", although
by_resolved_model could not count that usage, so downstream usage could be
marked complete falsely. An attempt's usage-integrity failures (an assistant
message without provider usage or without a resolved model, or no transcript
file) are now its usage_issues; a superseded attempt with any makes the run
incomplete (the reason names them) and the CLI exit 1. Its other issues (no
result entry, the <synthetic> usage-limit row outside the family) stay
expected, and an attempt that made no request still counts as zero usage.
usage_record.py's summary names such attempts (superseded_usage_issues).
test-child-usage.mjs: four new checks failed before the repair (missing
usage, unresolved model, no transcript, CLI exit); a guard for an attempt
without requests passes. SHA256SUMS updated for the two changed files.

(B) make_result.py: failure coverage was checked over all layers at once, so
removing one layer's critic-cap failure and its reopen entry still passed
(another layer's "critic" failure satisfied the check) and that layer derived
a clean count of 1. effort_deviation and web_search_capped failures are now
checked per worker and per layer, with the mapping convert.py records them by
(deviation_rounds, moved unchanged to sweep_common.py): a
<role>:<layer>[:followup] worker's failure in that layer's round, the
critic's in every layer of the record; a worker naming no layer of the record
is refused as before. test_failure_coverage_is_checked_per_worker_and_per_layer
drops the critic's cap failure, then its effort deviation, from one of two
healthy layers, and moves a worker's failure to the other layer; all three
subtests failed before the repair.

Docs: the harness README (evidence contract, WebSearch cap, review repairs)
and the workflows README.

Tests: test-child-usage.mjs 51 passed, test-usage-receipts.mjs 18,
test-envelope.mjs 214, test-contract-mutations.mjs 47; test-codex-envelope.mjs
and check-syntax.mjs exit 0. tests.test_saturation_ledger,
tests.test_landscape_sweep_harness, tests.test_adoption_docs_consistency and
tests.test_verdict_lane_vendoring: 198 run, OK (3 skipped: no bash 3.2, no
shellcheck, no profile coverage change since the pinned release).
manifests/evidence.json is not edited; the coordinator registers the changed
files.

* Landscape sweep 2026-09-26 record: re-measured usage, GPT-6 review round, lane limit 12

Tests: tests.test_saturation_ledger,
tests.test_landscape_sweep_harness, tests.test_adoption_docs_consistency and
tests.test_verdict_lane_vendoring 198 run, OK (3 skipped: no bash 3.2, no
shellcheck, no profile coverage change); test-child-usage.mjs 51 passed;
tests.test_gitleaks_config 27 OK. manifests/evidence.json is not edited; the
coordinator registers the changed files.

Trading lane, 2026-10-01 ~00:10Z (native-agent-stack-ae): upstream re-check before asking for the sign-in. Read through the GitHub API, read-only.

  • nautilus_trader#4983 (Rust IB adapter: venue IB never matches SMART, so every stock order is denied locally): open. It was last updated 2026-09-12.
  • nautilus_trader#5041 (port the Interactive Brokers adapter onto ibapi 4.2.0, base develop): open, not merged. It was last updated 2026-09-30T13:39Z.
  • Releases: the latest stable is v1.231.0 (2026-08-02). The latest 2.0 is the prerelease v2.0.0rc5 (2026-09-15). No 2.0.x release contains #5041.

So the decision record's choice stands: local acceptance on NautilusTrader 1.231.0 with ibapi 10.45.1. Its comparator arm (the first 2.0.x release containing #5041) does not exist yet. Nothing in this PR changes. The next step is still the user's paper IB Gateway sign-in (second factor).

…cts, #4983 reconciliation, SPY parity superseding note (#578)

* Trading layers: closure assessment artifact, owner's verdicts, #4983 reconciliation, SPY parity superseding note

- evidence/artifacts/layer-closure-assessment-20261001/us-equities.json, -run-variance.json,
-synthesis.md: the 12 us-equities layers' closure assessment (one Opus assessor and one
adversarial Opus refuter per layer, at PR #358's head 4d11709), in foundation.json's form,
sanitized (private session paths become <session-scratch>); README rows for them.
- docs/decisions/2026-10-01-trading-layer-verdicts.md: the trading lane owner's verdicts. No
trading layer is closed; all 12 are "selection of record, open", with the blocking item,
gates and evidence class per layer. It corrects one assessor claim (the SPY blockers are
  costs_and_rounding_stress and margin_and_adaptive_state, not a "costs_and_routing" contract).
- catalogs/us-equities/runtime-target.json: nautilus_trader #4983 moves to
rc5_reclassified_reports as a stale v1.227.0 report (source reading at 1b0a49d2:
  engine/mod.rs:2222 and the IB client's handles_order_venue returning true, core.rs:491-496);
the rc5 obstacles listed instead are #5007, #5057, #5060 (open) and #4946 (closed upstream,
in no release), states re-read 2026-10-01; PR #5041 head and ibapi =4.2.0 re-read. The
structure follows PR #280 hunks 2-3; its version-selection hunk stays in #280.
- blueprints/us-equities/engine-nautilus/acceptance-plan.md: a dated superseding note after the
September 21 status table (one_zero PASS 2026-09-23, five unmapped cases, IBKR step 1).

Checks: scripts/validate_catalogs.py exit 0; tests.test_catalogs plus the modules that read
runtime-target.json (test_blind_checkout, test_ecosystem_manifest, test_lane_packets,
test_token_e2e_receipt_checks) Ran 338, OK (skipped=2).

* Register the trading closure files in the evidence manifest (hot-file protocol, last commit)

manifests/evidence.json: main's copy (25098f8) with runtime-target.json, acceptance-plan.md,
the artifact README and the three new us-equities artifact files registered through
scripts/host_receipts.register_file; no receipts[] or convergence_records[] entry.
component_matrix.py --write and new_host_grand_list.py --write re-run (no change).
scripts/validate.py exit 0; scripts/evidence_manifest.py --check passed (8783 files).

Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

* Trading closure: repair after the independent review; owner selections for the two layers without one

Independent Opus review of e9459f6 (changes-needed: 1 high, 2 medium, 5 low), all repaired:
- high: #4983 was still the rc5 blocker in runtime-target.json's separate-paper-adapters entry,
the decision record's execution-broker gates, gates-20260922.json and the two IBKR READMEs.
Each now points at rc5_blockers (#5007, #5057, #5060 open; #4946 fixed on develop in no
release) and rc5_reclassified_reports (#4983), with dated superseding notes.
- medium: "costs_and_routing" was the owner's misreading of a truncated assessment string,
not an assessor claim; the record now says so, and the README no longer calls it a
  correction of the assessment.
- medium: backtesting-engine's evidence class now cites the unchanged rc5 quickstart
(evidence/receipts/native-nautilus-v2-20260920.json) and the rc5 SPY parity one_zero PASS.
- low: codex-native-sdk has no stack.json entry; PR #574 named as the architecture edition's
  location; "newest release is the prerelease v2.0.0rc5" (releases/latest is v1.231.0);
run-variance wording ("two complete refuted results"); the README records the us-equities
run (last complete result; usage not recorded).
Owner selections (decision 7), converging with the 09-22 verdicts, the Opus assessment and the
gpt-6-astra adjudication in PR #575: research-factors-ml EdgarTools 5.58.0 + skfolio 1.2.9;
security-supply-chain the foundation's Syft 1.52.0, Gitleaks 8.30.1 and Grype 0.119.0. Neither
closes the layer.

Closed with record (PR triage; the command center's item task-native-agent-stack-5f-20261007T023043Z; disposed by the trading owner, Claude session native-agent-stack-5f).

  • Branch kept: claude/ibkr-local-acceptance-20260925 at head 9f39d48a2a167fcb0fbd36dd3799b5824e08ba5d.
  • Artifacts on the branch:
    • blueprints/us-equities/engine-nautilus/ibkr-acceptance/: local_acceptance.py, local-acceptance-plan.json, local-acceptance-plan-post.json and its README;
    • docs/decisions/2026-09-25-ibkr-local-acceptance-version-selection.md;
    • tests/test_ibkr_local_acceptance.py;
    • its edits to catalogs/us-equities/gates-20260922.json and runtime-target.json.
  • Why closed: the gate it prepares, ibkr-local-acceptance, sits on the live rung (status: not_established, owner: user-decision), and live trading is out of scope today. The paper IBKR path runs on the destination engine's own checks instead:
  • Reopen trigger: any one of these:
    • the owner reopens the live rung;
    • the owner re-selects the 1.231.0 keep-but-compare comparison;
    • a paper gate needs this runner's client-id contention (A2), reconnect (A3) or kill-switch latch (B2, C1) cases, which C1-C5 do not cover.
