Support Gradle Android Experimental

Gradle is moving in a new direction with the new Model plugin architecture. Are there any plans to support the new Gradle plugin architecture? I have been looking at the code for the android scala plugin and if I knew more about how it worked I would be willing to help out with the implementation since I have an immediate need to use Scala in a project with the new plugin architecture.
