I upgraded the chrono dependency from 0.2 to 0.3 in several crates and recompiled. This is what happened:

Alexs-MacBook-Air-3:nri alex$ RUST_BACKTRACE=1 cargo build
   Compiling web v0.1.0 (file:///Users/alex/Documents/research/proton/code/nri/crates/front/web)
error: internal compiler error: unexpected panic

note: the compiler unexpectedly panicked. this is a bug.

note: we would appreciate a bug report: https://github.com/rust-lang/rust/blob/master/CONTRIBUTING.md#bug-reports

note: run with `RUST_BACKTRACE=1` for a backtrace

So, there was a breaking change from the upgrade, but with incr comp turned on, it crashed before that point.

Might be the same root cause as in #39569.

@durka I believe this was fixed, can you verify?

I'm not really sure how to reproduce since it was a fleeting Cargo.toml change and furthermore I have a different ICE now. I'll take your word for it :)
