Turn a localhost:8080 into a ws://localhost:8080

hello! My goal is to create an application to manage docker instances that are using noVnc. This instances are running on localhost:8080.
The problem is ws protocol is required, is there a way to simply turn this url into a ws protocol ? Like ws:/localhost:8080.
