Installer/Github release

Latest and recommended version of Lively with all the features available and frequent updates.

Require Windows version 1903 or above and installation of .net runtime and other dependencies.

Windows Store

If Github release is giving you problems/you are unable to install .net runtime on host system, this is an alternative.

Due to bug issue (540) store version of Lively is several months old and lacks many improvements like displayport hotplug fix, metadata fetch for streams etc..

Pros:

1. Updated through Windows store.
2. Works on version of Windows 10 older than 1903.

Cons:

1. Lacks modern UI features such as smooth scroll, animated tile preview etc.
2. No native image viewer for picture/gif wallpaper, can't handle higher resolution files.
3. No preview gif generation during wallpaper import.
4. No application wallpaper (unity, godot..) support.
5. Wallpaper save directory cannot be changed.
6. Slower updates compared to Github release.
7. Slightly higher memory usage.

Note

Wallpaper compatibility is maintained, all the supported wallpapers work the same regardless of Lively version.
