Compatibility with Stardock Fences

First...what a beautiful application. I really love this wallpaper engine. Kudos for such great work.

Describe the bug
Compatibility with Stardock Fences.. When I start my desktop it usually crashes Lively and as far as I can tell it may have something to do with Stardock Fences. I double-click on the desktop to hide my "fences" and soon after that Lively crashes. I have to go to the taskbar and kill Lively and then restart it for it to work normally. At that point, this appears on the desktop:

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Install the trial of Fences and create some fences on the desktop.
2. Set a Lively wallpaper
3. Reboot
4. When at the desktop a double-click on the desktop should hide your fences.
5. Lively crashes

Expected behavior
Maybe a "Restart Lively" in the notification area icon?
