Time Shift Shooting

Ricoh Company, Ltd.
Terms of Use

Install on THETA

Description

The RICOH THETA front lens and rear lens* shoot using a time difference.
Moving to the lens that is not shooting makes it possible to shoot photos without the photographer in the shot**.
*Rear lens is near the shutter button
**Use the basic app to transfer images to a smartphone

[Operation method]

  • Shooting
In the basic app for smartphone, select "Settings" - "Camera settings" - "Plug-in" - "Time Shift Shooting".
Press and hold the Mode button to launch the plug-in. Press the camera shutter button to launch the self-timer, then shoot using the front lens and finally the rear lens.
(Plug-in launch and shooting are also available on the smartphone.)

  • Changing settings
In the basic app for smartphone, select "Settings" - "Camera settings" - "Plug-in" - "Time Shift Shooting", then tap the icon displayed next to "Starting plug-in". The browser is launched and you can change settings in the displayed shooting screen.
You can set the self-timer time for each lens at 2 seconds, 5 seconds, and 10 seconds.

  • Precautions
Operations on the basic app for smartphone are not available while the plug-in is running.
