I had a similar problem, which was caused by having css modules together with the routes. It was solving by modifying ignoredRouteFiles to contain also *.css

@ronnylt can you check if that's your problem?
If not, please provide a simple reproduction so that the community can help

I also had a similar problem. If you use CSS modules with the Vite compiler, you'll either get a similar filter error, or hot reload will not work along with an error in the console. The error in the console will be about an incorrect MIME type of 'text/html' for the module.css file. If you set ignoredRouteFiles: ["**/*.css"], in the vite.config.ts file the problem goes away.

It might be worth updating the documentation about CSS modules to mention this. The documentation makes it sound plug & play, and sadly it isn't always so.
