Asciidoc version 8.6.10 has been marked as FINAL RELEASE by the upstream maintainers.
They advise their users to move to asciidoctor.

Just wanted to open this issue again ....
So: +1. Now the packagers are discussing to drop the packaging of asciidoc in favor of asciidoctor.
