Questions about events & monitors

I am wondering about these things right now:

• How can I attach a monitor to an event right when I am creating it in the UI? I know how to do it from the list of events once the event exists, but it sure is possible directly when creating, no?
• I created an event (without attached monitors, see above) and no email was sent to my subscribed email (but Kener can send emails). Are mails only sent, when a monitor attached to an event involved?
• I created an event, attached a monitor to it and marked it as degraded. Now the event is resolved but the monitor still shows as degraded. Why? I would assume the state is set back to up once the event is resolved…
