Is there a field for keeping track of financing source for a pipe?

Currently there is not field for that.
We would like to come closer to the SIA format at least to be able to distinguish the owner, the maintainer and the different roles for each network element and pipe. Do you need to track who funded the work or the effective costs of installation / maintenance ?
Can you explain you use cases more precisely?

For the beginning we thought to keep track of who financed the pipe ( a field with a list of possible sources ). Our case should be straight forward, but ... it could get complicated in time.
You raised a very good question about costs. The problem is we don't have costs for each section of a pipe. In our case pipes are replaced through projects (financed by EU). A project could replace/build the whole water network for a community / neighborhood, so we cannot talk about costs at pipe level (but I am aware that I have costs for each section), but at finance source level.
In a similar way with pipes we could use the financing sources for tanks, structures ...
I imagine that finance source are defined for a district and we have a set of minimal fields like:

  • name
  • estimated project period
  • actual project period
  • higher financing source
  • estimated cost
  • actual cost
I hope that I was clear enough :)
    Regards
