Can't Pause torrent in checking state

qBittorrent version and Operating System

Os: windows, Version: 4.1.7 and 4.2.0

What is the problem

I have some very big torrents and sometimes on startup I don't want these torrent to rechecked and want to just pause them for some time. But on windows startup, qbittorrent just ignores all command to pause such torrents and continue checking them

What is the expected behavior

Torrents should be paused.

it seems to be happening because of #10921 is there any other way to keep the state consistent? @glassez
