Can’t set permissions for qbittorrent

I have a headless qbittorrent installed and it works fine downloading to the home folder but does not seem to have permissions to access the external hard drive. When I start a torrent to that path, it says 'Errored'

USB drive is exfat and mounted to /usb/Media

I have tried sudo chmod -R 777 /usb/Media but that also does not fix the issue.

I have tried sudo chown -R qbittorrent:sam /usb/Media but I get operation not permitted.

Can someone help please??
