Move to PyPA org on PyPI? #889

With the orgs feature on PyPI, there's a PyPA org that exists already — https://pypi.org/org/pypa/. Why not make use of it?

I'm happy to migrate once I understand what it will mean for the upcoming rename to vcs-versioning

Probably nothing. The project name remains. For the new one, you'd need a new project..

@RonnyPfannschmidt I can't find any other information about some kind of renaming. Is setuptools_scm being renamed? Will that impact the v8 release?

The 8.x release Will not be affected
