This is just a theoretical question to assess the possibilities of DPMP. So if we change ipv4 prefix information with AS information and add all other required information now transfered in bgp for the update message, is the protocol then a competitor to bgp? This question is limited to the update message, connection establishment (UDP mcast vs. TCP) differs completely.
