In the profile settings page the user is allowed to alter the email to something else, but not the username.
Changing email could possibly work, but since that is the login information I don't think we should be able to change it.

Even if the user changes username, it will work well. Because it will still check uniqueness on update. Same goes for email, but email field is available to change because a user will get alerts on that email and he might want to change his email in future.

Changing username would not work very well.. I mean are you going to update every stream, virtual stream, trigger and what not he might have on his username??
But yes email I can see, even though I think that would be bad since that is what is used for logging in with.
