Related to #2225

Right now, the button just tries to run the file as if it were regular R code.

I've always liked that RStudio had a single command/keybinding that was a context-aware "run this code" gesture. Maybe worth revisiting?

IMO the shiny for python extension does the right thing.
This has been suggested before, but can we extend that extension to offer the same affordance to R apps?
