when installing cosmic alongside gnome to use one of, why apps like chromium do loose its settings on the switch? am using still GDM to log in.

e.g. do like the following:

  1. log into GNOME
  2. open chromium, log into github
  3. log out from GNOME, log into COSMIC
  4. open chromium, log into github - browser forgot login from before

Given this is login information, this is most likely related to keyring issues: pop-os/cosmic-greeter#87

@Drakulix when logging into github with chromium e.g. the browser stores this login info. my impression is the storage location is .cache/chromium. when i log into cosmic, start chromium, then i need to re-login into github and vice versa. i am using GDM, yes, buti was not aware that i would be using gnome-keyring for this?

i reported pop-os/cosmic-greeter#87 though, and there is a fix proposed: https://gitlab.archlinux.org/archlinux/packaging/packages/cosmic-greeter/-/issues/3.
