Flatpak xdg-settings

Recently after new update I noticed that certain flatpak apps stopped working. When I run the app in terminal I see that it complains about xdg-settings and then crashes. I played around with it for a while and came across the flatpak-xdg-utils package in the ubuntu repo (not installed). Out of curiosity, I installed it and tried running the flatpak app again. For some reason it still complains about the xdg-settings but the app does launch.

I don't know if this is a bug and if it is I don't know if it has to do with cosmic. I thought I would just throw this out there in case it helps someone with more knowledge of this.
