I have a Logitech mouse, an MX Master S2 with lots'o dem buttons, and also a wheel on the left side for your thumb that works for horizontal scrolling.
With Cupertino switching directions on all axes with Sierra to make everything feel entirely unnatural and dubbing it "Natural scrolling," I've been used to scourging through preference panes to make everything natural again by unchecking everywhere it reads, "natural."
I've used a Logitech driver for my mouse that fixes macOS making the thumb wheel scroll unnaturally. It was called "Options" when I bought the mouse and weighed in at a hefty 17 MB. But, now that I'm setting up a new installation, I realized that this very same software, which is now "Options+," I assume the plus sign is for "plus-sized," weighs in installed at over half a gigabyte.
So yeah, not installing that. I found this really nice app called SensibleSideButtons that enables the two back and forward buttons on the side, but the thumb wheel is inverted, and there's no option in macOS Sonoma to fix the "natural" anti-accessibility "feature."
I redditted it, and found your software. Nice little app — I really like the setting to control how much the scroll wheel scrolls at each step. Unfortunately, the horizontal flip switch doesn't affect my Logitech mouse. Wah.
Seeing as the mouse is supported out-of-the-box in Sonoma, including this thumb scroll wheel functionality, is there any chance this might become a supported function in your app?
Cheers :)
Silas
