Lots of issues so far using it (particularly with kivy builds) and I'm definitely not married..

PyPa lists a bunch of others that seem really neat. poetry in particular caught my eye.

After using poetry in https://github.com/constverum/Quantdom I'm pretty convinced it's much nicer then pipenv.

Anyone have any thots?

TBH with the current setup I'm pretty sure we can just use pip and a little pyproject.toml.

I also just wanted to state again for the record: I personally think pipenv is utter trash:

  • doesn't show what's it's doing while locking
  • takes forever to lock
  • doesn't have a clear way to show debug logging
  • will just start compiling deps you told it not too
