Live (realtime) score from input MIDI

It seems that all of the framework for this is already in place, it just needs to be written. I have in mind something like GarageBand's "Score View," where it transcribes the device-input MIDI into staves. The old forums ask for new features to be discussed first before starting work, so I am posting here for that purpose.
