I haven t delved in to why yet, but I ve tried on two different installs.

when I do git clone , all tools have executable bit except lxc-ubuntu, and I have to make it executable manually. was
this done intentionally?

what am i missing here? this is a clean ubuntu 10.04 server machine (and I tried ubuntu 10.10 server the same thing):
