Playlist entries missing file:// prefix

Just tried on arch and rhythmbox 3.4.2. Playlists are imported correctly, but after the first run, rhythmbox removes all entries.

The reason is that the script writes entries like
/home/nils/Music/....mp3
But rhythmbox expects this format, unless the entry will be removed
file:///home/nils/Music/....mp3

your problem is hard to analyze without any further informations like your script parameters and same example paths from the rythmbox and itunes files.
