I feel a little crazy here. Been spending the better part of the day trying to get the petere world of PostgreSQL (which I admire and appreciate) to work on my new M4 MacBook Pro.
I'm trying to run brew install petere/postgresql/postgresql@16, and I'm getting stymied by Error: [email protected] has been disabled because it is not supported upstream! It was disabled on 2024-10-24.
I can see that even modern versions of postgresql specifically require [email protected], so this doesn't seem like something I could easily replace with a newer version... do I need to specifically install [email protected] from brew to move forward? Is this ultimately the right move, or shouldn't there be an effort to migrate off 1.1 if it's been EOL'd?
Thanks in advance to any helpful suggestions!
