Continue Background Playback Without Interruption

I'm always frustrated when the m3u player stops playing when running in the background. This disrupts my listening experience, especially when I need to use other apps or when the device's screen turns off.

Describe the solution you'd like
I would like the m3u player to continue playing audio or video in the background without interruption, especially when listening to radios. The user should be able to select in the settings an option to continue playing or not when the app is running in the background.

Describe alternatives you've considered
I have considered keeping the screen on, but this is not practical for battery life. Another alternative is using the zapping mode, but it is not a user-friendly solution.

Additional context
I think the NewPipe solution is good: when the app is minimized, the user can choose between playing in the background or using the zapping mode.
