Currently there is no android app around to take owncloud notes on an android devices. The suggested one (as mentioned in the wiki, https://github.com/aykit/MyOwnNotes) is no longer maintained.
A common choice to sync CalDAV / CardDAV with android devices is DAVx5 (https://github.com/bitfireAT/davx5-ose). They mention jtx Board (https://github.com/TechbeeAT/jtxBoard), see https://manual.davx5.com/tasks_notes.html, as android app to take notes / tasks / journals.
Sync with owncloud works just fine, however there is no web support journals and notes.
Journals and notes defined by the VJOURNAL component as defined in the iCalendar format, so this is nothing specific and well defined. (https://icalendar.org/iCalendar-RFC-5545/3-6-3-journal-component.html)
I think it would be nice to have support for VJOURNAL entries when editing via the notes app in the browser.
