As the starting point for the passport project, we need to update EGO to use spring security framework.

Detailed Description

Latest spring boot is 6.0.2, which will upgrade us to spring 6.
Investigate what needs to be upgraded first, then implement the upgrades.

The result of the work will be a major EGO upgrade, therefore a breaking change.
