Why not separate events from resources and parse data from OSM calendar wiki? #90

OSM has a Calendar page to cover community events.

How about a separate section for events, parsed from the OSM events calendar, instead of making it part of resources?

Separating events from resources doesn't really make sense to me because the resources are the orgs hosting the events.

I don't know how to parse the OSM calendar wiki - we had some discussion here

Somebody did write a tool to do it, but even we did ingest that data, we'd need to establish some mapping between a resource here and whatever we get back from the calendar wiki.

It feels like the kind of problem where I'd spend a lot of time on it, and end up with something not very good that breaks sometimes. It would be faster for somebody just type in a few dozen things.

Closing here as something I'm not going to work on, but if somebody else wants to work on it, that would be ok.
