Calendar Time Increment and Decrement buttons stuck??

When I press the increment and decrement button of Calendar Time selection control in PrimeReact, shown in the attached, the time values constantly change even if the time control is no longer on the screen causing a indefinite loop.
This does not happen with the sample code on the PrimeReact site.
Any thoughts on how I can solve this?

I don't understand what's going on, but this must be an issue with some logic somewhere else which is showing up here.
Very frustrating, and not an issue with this control.
