I am encountering some issues when trying to retrieve the event history of the issues added to projects (v2). Example:

[user] moved this from In progress to Pending review in [project] [3 weeks ago]

Specifically, I am using the timelineItems objects, but it seems that only "labeled" events are being displayed. I have already enabled the project-event-details-preview as mentioned in the documentation (https://docs.github.com/en/graphql/overview/schema-previews#project-event-details-preview). Also, I checked that I have enough permissions.

However, I am unable to access the desired event history. Could you please assist me in understanding how to retrieve the complete event history for the issues in question?

I found an odd situation.

We converted from a classic project board to a v2 board. Issues that had been on a classic board show events like moved. But, then any issues created on only the V2 board do not show these events.

So if I try to mirror the moves on the now close classic board still show up with a projectV2 graphql query.

Same issue here, it seems to only show this value in the cards migrated from the classic project.

I came here because I'm trying to migrate our automation from classic projects to v2 (and it looks like I have 1 month left to do it...)

we are using timeline events as well and I'm trying to reverse engineer what Github UI does:

• github performs an internal query and receives the events on the property frontTimeline which is not available via the public API
• the totalcount on frontTimeline equals to totalcount on timelineItems (13 in my case), but Github UI does not load timelineItems at all
• i can find these events with type ProjectV2ItemStatusChangedEvent, which i cannot find in any documentation, qraphql explorer or somewhere else than in the github internal results
• when i get an issue via the api with timelineItems my totalcount is lower than expected (6 in my case) and the status changed events are missing

For me it's unfortunate that I can't get all the information via the API for V2 projects, but the classic projects go down in a month... ?

btw. it seems like the github iOS app is affected by this as well. cant see any projectv2 events in the issue timeline, but I only see label or milestone events..

I imagine once the iOS app starts listing these events, a new project type will be dropped in the GraphQL schema changelog.

I'm wanting to create a sprint report and knowing when an issue was added to a Sprint would be great.
