Search API for beta code search

I've been using GitHub's code search API with NodeJS and Octocat core. GitHub code search beta is now rolling out on desktop and I was wondering when to expect this to make into a versioned API?

I am running into issues designing search queries on the UI and then transferring them to my script. The search qualifier behavior on the beta search and original search return different results. So far I'm actually getting a much better search experience from Sourcegraph's index of GitHub, but I'd like to stick with GitHub's APIs.
