Create a column on a ProjectV2

How can I use the ProjectsV2 Graphql API to create a column to a project?

So far this does not seem to be possible for ProjectV2, there is addProjectColumn but it only works with the Project object, if you follow the change log there has been an uptick in activity regarding ProjectV2, perhaps in the near future?

Hi @ymansiaux,

No, apparently there’s no way to add a column programmatically. What we did in that time was to make all the structure programmatically via the old ProjectAPI and once it was done just go to it and click to Migrate to new ProjectV2. So it was better for the PMs just to click that button than create the whole project as there were project with +1000 cards. Hope this helps you at least to give you an idea.

With the old project API I wasnt able to link an issue to a given column of the board, would you have an example of a workflow you used to try to help me ?

may help you. The main limitation currently seems to be that you can't modify the 'status' field, but you can modify other fields and use them as columns. This is an unfriendly workaround for our 3rd party app, but it may be useful for what you are doing.
