Hi There. I'm just wondering if the Jetbrain GitHub Copilot plugin will get the same features as the Visual Studio plugin. For example, will it have multi-model support, a code editing feature, etc.? Thank you!

Through the GitHub Copilot extension, I believe these features will eventually be available, but features tend to lag behind there vs. VS. It’s GitHub that does that, though, not JetBrains.

This is the exact moment that I hate Microsoft is every effing where. Github was neutral and it should remain neutral for everyone. There is a decent number of industry developers who just don't use Microsoft products.

I immediately cancelled my subscription after finding out it was limited to 4o w/ JB IDE. I would rather copy and paste code from ChatGPT web browser directly over using that unmaintained extension or vscode.

Is there any methods or solutions could help us to using the claude 3.5 model in Jetbraint? I am looking forward it for so long.

That and being able to use code edit as vscode. Although I prefer jetbrains user experience on overall development, cursor.ai or vscode in terms of ai assisted coding are way ahead. Getting less done in jetbrains and more done with the other two. Someday I will quit jetbrains....

Does anyone find a way to switch the model?

It looks like this may now be possible in the latest CoPilot update. It's not visible in the chat window. I'm unsure if it uses this for inline completions yet

The latest version of the plugin is supposed to support a few models, including the latest Gemini 2.0 Flash, but sometimes it doesn't even let me select a model, I just get a blank dropdown selector.

Other times it only gives me one option, which is GPT-3.5 Turbo.

I have the latest version of all the IDEs and the plugin too.

Those of you who have this working, was there anything you had to do to get there?
