If you are willing to give your ownership to another person what will be your role in the organisation?

If you transfer ownership of a GitHub organization to another person, your role will automatically change to a regular member of that organization. Here’s what happens:

Loss of Owner Privileges: You will no longer have owner privileges, which include administrative rights such as managing billing, changing organization settings, or managing other members’ roles.

Automatic Membership: By default, you will become a regular member of the organization, with permissions defined by the new owner or organization settings.

Custom Roles: If the new owner or organization settings are configured to assign specific roles, you might be granted a different role based on those settings, but this is not automatic and requires action from the new owner.
