None of these workaround is really feasible. If you are releasing a capability such as custom property in GA it should be supported by the leading API which is GraphQL. Doing so with the REST API(which does support querying) custom properties of repos is possible but it will create a huge burden with API calls on an org that has thousands of repositories resulting in GitHub rejecting calls because of an overload. |

Bumping this request. Even with enterprise rate limits I don't want to deal with custom properties via REST |
