One thing you could do is expose your computer to the internet with the Macro Deck Port. Since Macro Deck does not provide any kind of Cloud Service (which is totally acceptable considering the fact its completely free) you cannot really get a secure and fast way to connect to your Server in your Local Area Network. The connection issues might happen because of your VPN connection, it might automatically close websockets that are open for too long. |

Hi guys,
I'm not into coding or got any knownlegde about this at all.
So, i'm just a user of macro deck who has some questions. :D
I use Macro Deck to control OBS on my server at home while i'm streaming irl.
First question - after a while not in focus the client app on my phone loses its connection to the server.
Because of being idle for some time, i think.
Is there a way to let the connection staying active for an endless time?
second question - because the server and the client have to be in the same network, i have to use VPN. But the phone
running the client got some other "tasks to do in the internet". The VPN causes some high latencies.
Is it possible to connect server and client without staying in the same network?
thany you really much in advance for your input. :)
