Eligibility for GSoC as a Recent Graduate

I came across the Google Open Source Blog post, Eligibility Thread about the expanded eligibility criteria for Google Summer of Code (GSoC). However, I am still unsure whether recent graduates who are currently working are eligible to participate.
I graduated my bachelors in May 2024 with a major in Computer Science and recently started working in the Deep Learning (DL) space.

As a beginner in open source, I am particularly interested in contributing to the OpenVINO organization & apply as a GSoC contributor this year & as for the pre-requisite tasks, I have worked on the following:

• [JAX FE]: add support for jax.lax.logistic #28240
• [ONNX]: Added Range from com.microsoft domain #28202

• [JAX FE] : Implement jax.lax.iota operation #28221

I wanted to know whether recent graduates are eligible to apply?

I have come across similar queries regarding GSoC eligibility for working individuals in the official discussion groups:

From the responses in these discussions, it seems that a working individual is eligible as long as they are a beginner in open source and can commit the necessary time to the program.
In my case, I can easily dedicate 3-5 hours on weekdays and 8-10 hours on weekends, totaling 30-45 hours per week. Based on the responses in the discussion groups, I believe I meet the eligibility criteria, but I would love to hear your insights on this.
Additionally, I have already reached out to the GSoC support team for further clarification. Is there anything else I should do from my end to ensure my eligibility?

I think that should be enough. As a GSoC organization, we don't verify that.
