Original request

We intend to run a lot of Surveys and can’t have each of them as a menu item in Assemblies or Groups

We created a Component called Forms which is a clone of Surveys but doesn’t track the User IP Address so one person to submit the same form multiple times. We will want the same updates to Surveys to be applied to Forms. This will have to be discussed with Octree

Step 1: In Admin – Click

Step 2: When New Survey/Form is clicked, we get the current screen to build out the survey/form

Step 3: What the component looks like with multiple Surveys/Forms

Step 4: What the User View looks like with multiple Surveys. Notice Arrowheads

Feature proposal

  • Create a component capable of creating more than one survey as proposed in the screenshots. Note that the current filters section makes no sense in here.
  • Make it compatible with the templates module in order to quickly create surveys from predefined templates
  • Create some configuration options for the component (for instance: allow the survey to be answered several times by the same user)
  • Use a filter for surveys? opened/closed? answered/unanswered?
  • Allow the user to view his/her own responses on previous surveys?

We propose to integrate this feature into the https://github.com/decidim-ice/decidim-module-decidim_awesome plugin. We see value in this feature that can be reused in the future for multiple organizations!
